Eskom Update
George Municipality has indicated that areas in Wilderness, the Wilderness CBD, Wilderness Heights, Wilderness East, Victoria Bay, Hoekwil, Geelhout, Pine Dew and many areas in George remain without electricity.
As reported yesterday, it has come to our attention that electrical cables and transformers are being stolen in affected areas, placing additional pressure on municipal electricity departments and Eskom as they work to restore power.
The assistance of the South African Police Service and related structures has been requested after incidents were identified where areas that were ready to be re-energised could not be switched on due to cable theft that occurred while the electricity network remained inactive.
Thank you

Network Update
Good day valued clients,
Please note that some fibre links are still affected due to the severe weather conditions and ongoing power-related issues.
Strong winds are also preventing our technicians from safely climbing towers to re-align wireless dishes at this stage. As soon as conditions are safe, our teams will continue restoration work.

Network Status Update
Please note that several high-site wireless links were affected during the severe wind conditions, causing certain tower dishes to shift out of alignment.
Due to ongoing rain, strong winds, and health & safety regulations on tower sites, technicians are currently unable to climb and safely perform alignment work until weather conditions improve.
As soon as it is safe to do so, our teams will continue restoration work on all affected sites as quickly as possible.
We understand the frustration caused by these outages and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through the storm-related damage safely.

Network Restore
Network Status Update
Some affected areas are currently coming back online. The outage was caused by extended power failures during severe weather conditions, which depleted backup batteries at certain fibre and tower sites.
As power is being restored, systems and links are gradually recovering - give up to 15 minutes please.
If you are still experiencing connectivity issues, please reboot your router and allow a few minutes for reconnection once your area is restored.
We thank all clients for their patience and understanding during this time.

Fibre and Tower Outages
Please note that extended power outages in multiple areas are now also affecting fibre backup systems and wireless tower infrastructure.
Many sites have been running on backup power for extended periods, and in some locations, outages have exceeded 6 hours. Unfortunately, once backup batteries are depleted, certain fibre and wireless services may go offline until Eskom power is restored.
Our teams are continuously monitoring the network and attending to affected sites where it is safe to do so.
We kindly ask for patience and understanding during these extreme weather and power conditions affecting the entire region.
Thank you for your continued support.
Current network outages
We understand the frustration caused by the current network outages and intermittent connectivity.
Please keep in mind that the severe storm conditions across the Garden Route have caused significant damage in many areas, including power infrastructure, fallen trees, and extremely dangerous working conditions. Some wireless equipment and dishes have shifted due to the high winds.
For the safety of our technicians, we are unable to climb towers or perform certain repairs while these storm conditions continue. Restoration work will continue as soon as it is safe to do so.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Our team is working as quickly and safely as possible to restore all affected services.
Thank you for your support.
Garden Route Internet
Good morning valued clients,
Please note that multiple areas across the Garden Route are currently experiencing network outages due to severe weather conditions and widespread Eskom infrastructure damage.
Strong winds have caused fallen trees, damaged power lines, and dangerous road conditions in several areas. Unfortunately, in many locations it is currently unsafe for our technicians to access sites or begin repair work until conditions improve and affected areas are secured.
Our teams are on standby and will attend to all outages as soon as it is safe to do so.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
